CEBIT 2007:
ECS P51G

We saw a new integrated chipset from Via and ECS is traditionally one of the first to go for it. The board will be cheap and supports Core 2 Duo processors. It is based on VIA P4M900 Northbridge and VT8237A Southbridge. The Northbridge has Delta chrome DirectX 9 capable graphic card.

It is cool to see two ATA 133 ports as these are vanishing these days. Northbridge only needs a heatsink while Southbridge doesn't need an active cooling. The board supports a single PCIe 16X, one PCIe 1X and two PCI ports. Even the floppy connector is here, including some kind of CNR card slot.

The board supports FBS 1066, DDR 2 667 memory, Six channel HD audio, 10/100 LAN and eight USB 2.0 ports.
