MSI and HDMI on CeBIT

Micro-Star
International, revealed specifications of their boards based on DAAMIT's new 690G/V chipset, that they plan to show at Cebit. We wrote a few details about them here.

There will be total of four boards from MSI based on either the 690G, or the lower end 690V chipset. The difference of these boards will also be between micro-ATX or ATX form factor.

The lead motherboard is micro-ATX sized MSI K9AGM2-FIH which is, as they claim, the world's first HDMI ready motherboard. It is based on AMD, pardon DAAMIT's, 690G/SB600 chipset with build in HDMI interface and HDCP decoder, that will provide the user dual video output with HDMI and D-Sub connector onboard.

It has ATI's X1250 on board graphics with AVIVO. Board will be cooled passively so no noise. Other specifications includes 7.1-channel HD Audio, eight USB 2.0 ports, four SATAII connectors with RAID 0, 1, 0+1, one PCI-Express x16, one PCI-Express x1, and two plain PCI slots. It has LAN 10/100/1000 and FireWire.

Next in line is MSI K9AGM2-F/L that is based on value 690V chipset. It is left without HDMI and Firewire. The difference between F and L model is in LAN, L will only have 10/100, while the F will end up with 10/100/1000. It is also based on micro-ATX form.

The third motherboard is MSI K9AG Neo-F which is made in ATX form factor. Is is made also on AMD 690V chipset, so it has no HDMI and no FireWire. More room with full ATX factor is filled with another PCI-Express x1 and one more plain PCI slot.

The fourth motherboard MSI K9AG Neo2-Digital, should be the premium model of MSI's AMD 690G chipset motherboards, is expected to launched in April. We know that it will end up in ATX form, and it will have both HDMI and DVI integrated onboard. It will be cooled passively just like the MSI K9AGM2-FIH.
