HTC wants Android 6.0 in a dozen phones

HTC has finally learned its lesson – users want to get the latest Android as soon as possible. This time HTC has announced that 12 phones will get Marshmallow, Android 6.0, before the end of the year.  

The company officially twittered the news,  but there is no precise launch date. HTC has three months to deploy the new OS on these 12 phones. Obviously there will be the flagship's including the HTC One M9 and last year's king HTC One M8. What is surprising is that the HTC One M9+, HTC One E9+, HTC One E9 and One ME, all powered with MediaTek 6795T Helios 10 based processors will also get Android 6.0.

The list continues with two more One series phones including, One E8 and One M8 EYE both powered by Snapdragon 801.

The company announced its Butterfly 3 smartphone with a 5.2-inch QHD LCD display, Snapdragon 810 chipset, and 3GB of RAM. This one will get the Android 6.0 despite launching on October 20 in Taiwan for 545 Euro / $608 USD.

The three latest Desire phones will get the chewy  taste of Marshmallow before the end of the year. The proud owners of Desire 826, Desire 820 and Desire 816 will get the new OS. Desire 826 and 820 have the Snapdragon 615. The larger one comes with a dual SIM too.

The Desire 816 a Snapdragon 400 powered phone were the last on the list of phones that will get Android 6.0 before the end of the year.
