Lenovo P1 With 5,000 mAh Battery Available For Preorder

by on15 September 2015

My next smartphone is coming at the beginning of October.

Lenovo has listened to my repeated requests and has cooked up two amazing smartphones. While that sentence isn't entirely accurate, the fact is, Lenovo Vibe P1 and P1m are amazing and come with huge batteries, just the way I like.

Some people like to show off with their curved screens, or their uberexpensive iToys, I like to not worry about charging my phone four times per day. Of course, the phone has to tick all of the boxes of speedy processor, plenty of RAM, great screen and camera, but without a two-day battery life, it's dead to me.

Lenovo P1 comes with a 5.5" full HD screen, 3 GB of RAM, 1.5 GHz octa-core processor, two SIM card slots, a socket for up to 128 GB of external storage and, most importantly, gigantic battery. 5,000 mAh should be enough for 2.5 to 3 days of internet-heavy use. All of that is packaged into a beautiful and quite slim, considering the battery, aluminium body.

The P1m is a bit lower specced. A 5" screen and plastic body, with 4,000 mAh battery are worthy compromises for people who don't want to carry around a phablet. Funny that, a few years ago 5" would have been considered huge, but hey, times change.

Anyway, the P1 is now available for preorder from Amazon for $359, or EUR329 in Europe. I know because mine is "shipping between September 24th and October 13th" ;).
