Mid-range 4.5- and 4.7-incher

In addition to the LG G2 mini and three budget-friendly L-series smartphones, LG also brought two new F-series smartphones to the Mobile World Congress 2014, the F90 and the F70. Aiming to keep up with the competition in the mid-range market, the two new smartphones will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and bring decent specs to the mid-range market.

The new LG F90 is built around a 4.7-inch screen but suffers from the same problem as LG's G2 mini as the screen is stuck at 960x540 resolution. While it might be enough for some users, Motorola has certainly pushed the mid-range to 720p with its Moto G. The LG F90 is based on Snapdragon 400 SoC paired up with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage expandable by a microSD card slot. It has an 8-megapixel rear camera and draws its power from a decent 3000mAh battery.

The LG F70 on the other hand has a slightly smaller 4.5-inch 800x480 screen, a yet to be detailed 1.2GHz quad-core SOC, 5-megapixel rear camera, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage also expandable via microSD card slot. It has a slightly weaker 2440mAh battery which should be enough for this type of smartphone.

Both the F90 and the F70 feature LTE connectivity, but LG is still to release details regarding the price and the availability date.
