Samsung starts rolling out Exynos security patch

by on04 January 2013

British Galaxy S III users get it first

Samsung has started patching up a vulnerability identified on some Exynos chips. The vulnerability left quite a few Samsung phones and tablets open to attack, but the update should make it a thing of the past.

The vulnerability was identified on December 14, so it didn’t take too long for Sammy to address it. British users of the flagship Galaxy S III smartphone are getting the patch first, but the rollout should go global soon.

The vulnerability also affects Galaxy S II, Galaxy Note and Note 2 phones, as well as two Galaxy Note 10.1 tablets.
