Tim Cook to lead it
It appears that iPhone 5 will finally be shown to public on October 4th, according to the report over at AllThingsD site. The event will be entirely led by Apple's current CEO, Tim Cook backed by other key VPs from Apple that should show the new iPhone

AllthingsD reports that the upcoming Apple event will be led by no other than Tim Cook and backed up by Phillip W. Schiller (Senior VP, Worldwide Product Marketing), Scott Forstall (Senior VP, iOS Software) and Eddy Cue (Senior VP, Internet Software and Services). Of course, this has yet to be confirmed by Apple so take this date with a bag, rather than pinch, of salt.

The exact details regarding to what will they actually announce is still unknown, but some sources are pretty sure that iPhone 5 (or iPhone 4GS for that matter), new iPods as well as iOS 5 are most likely candidates although some aren't excluding the new iPad 3 as well (although this sounds like a real stretch).

Of course, we'll keep an eye out for updates.
