Steve Jobs shakes his head
Despite the will of Apple Supremo Steve Jobs to purge his toys of anything a grown up might want, the porn industry appears to have other ideas. When Steve introduced FaceTime for the iPhone 4 video conferencing he visualised businesses holding virtual meetings, soldiers talking to their families, clubs holding online chats.

However it appears that it is more likely to be used by people watching women taking their clothes off and having video sex chats. In at least five cities, Craigslist ads seek models specifically for video sex chat on FaceTime. Many of the ads even offer to throw in a free iPhone 4 for the new employees.

While cameras mounted on computers have lead to racy online video sessions. But the portability and privacy of a mobile make it possible for people to take it to places they have never been before. This will of course explain why you need to put a rubber band around the outside of the iPhone 4.  It is a form of contraceptive.

However it all puts Steve Jobs in a tricky position he has pledged to keep porn off the iPhone 4. An e-mail attributed to CEO Steve Jobs that was posted on technology blogs he claimed it was Apple's "moral responsibility" to keep pornography off the iPhone. Apple has rejected book apps for featuring sexual content. Maybe this is the reason why the Iphone 4 disconnects when you place it in the left hand.

But herein lies the rub. Despite the fact that Apple is legendarily  control freakish, even Steve Jobs  can't tell users who to call.  It could create a safe list of numbers and websites that are forbidden but this would be a huge job and equally easily navigable by the adult industry.
