Moorestown SOC based products?

During yesterday's conference call, Intel and Nokia officially announced a „long-term partnership“ between the companies based on the development of a new class of Intel Architecture-based mobile computing devices and such.

The move was expected but unfortunately, the details are as scarce as they get, and neither company disclosed any juicy details. They did however mention devices „beyond“ current smartphones, MIDs, netbooks and smartbooks, and we're anxious to see what they're talking about.

It's rumored that the architecture in question here is Moorestown, an Atom-based SOC, but we're yet to see whether that's the case. Furthermore, we'll also see joint efforts on open-source Linux projects, which if executed right might spell trouble for Android.
