O2 UK has announced that they will start selling the Xda Zest on their pre-paid Pay&Go tariffs from the 17th of this month. The Xda Zest packs a lot of features you don't normally get in a pre-paid mobile phone, but then again, it's not exactly cheap.
The handset was designed and made by Asus. The Xda Zest has a 2.8-in touch screen display, which is flush with the front of the handset and it also comes with a custom UI on top of Windows Mobile 6.1 which allows for easy finger navigation.
Other features include HSDPA, WiFi, GPS and a 3Megapixel camera. There's no word on the rest of the specifications at this moment in time, but judging by the press photo it also seems to have a front-facing camera for video calls.
At £249.99 (€307/$392) it's hardly cheap, although for those on a contract, it will most likely be free depending on your monthly commitment.
