Some improvements and fixes

ATI has officially released a new version of its Catalyst drivers, the same one that we had a chance to see in its beta state for quite a while.

According to the release notes, the new 8.7 version of Catalyst comes with some improvements for the Radeon HD 3600 and 3400 products in 3DMark Vantage, and there are noticeable improvements for the Radeon HD 4800, HD 3800 and HD 3600 series in Company of Heroes DX10 and Lost Planet DX10. The new version also brings some improvements for Lost Planet and Call of Duty under DirectX 9 on HD 4800 series and better Crossfire scaling on all products.

The only new features are located in the Catalyst Control Center, which is now enhanced to show full hardware information for each physical graphics accelerator installed. The new version also comes with a handful of resolved issues in Assassin's Creed, Crysis, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, World in Conflict, Hellgate London and some other games.

The new Catalyst 8.7 is available for Windows Vista, Windows XP and Linux platforms and you can download it here.
