The Calibre P960 Green Power

Sparkle has announced the newest addition to its Calibre line-up, the Calibre P960 based on the Nvidia 9600GT GPU.

The new Calibre P960 Green Power will come with a 3-way BIOS feature which uses auto phase switching that should lower the load power consumption of this card to 72.9W. This allows the new Sparkle Calibre card power savings of up to 28 percent when compared to the reference 9600GT card which uses about 100W of power under full load.

The new Calibre will be cooled by Sparkle's Dual-Fly cooling system which we had a chance to see on earlier Calibre cards. The 3-way BIOS lowers and raises cards clocks so this card will work at 300/650/700MHz for the core and will come with 512MB of GDDR3 memory that will be clocked at 800MHz/1800MHz/2000MHz. The card comes with 64 Stream processors and a Shader clock set at 900MHz/1625MHz/1850MHz.

Unfortunately, the availability date and the price of the new card are still unknown.
