BFG GTX 280 H2OC and Danger Den

BFG has announced yet another card in its GTX 200 lineup, the Geforce GTX 280 H2OC with ThermoIntelligence water cooling system. The aforementioned water cooling system is developed in cooperation with Danger Den.

The new card works at 680MHz for the core, 1,458MHz for Shaders and comes with 1GB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 2450MHz. These clocks aren't something that BFG can brag about since we have already seen some announcements with higher clocked GTX 280 cards, but we still need to see who will be first on the market.

For example, EVGA's Hydro Copper GTX 280, also known as the Black Pearl, works at 670MHz for the core, 1,458 for Shaders and 2,430MHz for the memory. Unfortunately, the BFG GTX 280 H2OC might end up with a higher price tag when compared to the EVGA card since it is using Danger Den's water block.

The new BFG GTX 280 H2OC also features high-flow 3/8" and 1/2" fittings as well as pre-applied Arctic Silver thermal compound. The clocks are just too close, and until we see some reviews and tests, the GTX 280 throne will remain empty.
