We've learned that the R700 should be expected in August. This should be just around back-to-school-time and the card would be ready before the big titles gets release in the September/October time.
From what we’ve learned, the hardware could be ready for a late June launch time, but ATI still wants to tweak the drivers. ATI also wants to learn the real performance numbers of the Geforce GTX 280, aka G200/D10U-30 graphics card, to be able to tweak its performance accordingly.
The single chip RV770PRO and RV770XT cards are still on the schedule for a June 16 launch with an immediate availability, but the real quantities will ship in early Q3, the quarter that starts in July.
At least this is the plan.
