Let it be known as 9600 GSO

The first
9600 GSO card has appeared online, and it won't be the last one that we will see. We wrote about it on many occasions, and yet again this isn't something new, but rather something old. The 8800 GS, which is now rather "old" has been renamed to 9600 GSO.

The card is based on the Nvidia G92 GPU, and has the same specs as the regular 8800 GS. It works at 580MHz for the GPU and comes with 384MB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 1.4GHz. The Shader clock ended up at 1,450MHz. All other specs remain the same as on any other card based on the G92 GPU, DirectX 10, Shader Model 4.0 and PCI-Express 2.0.

XFX is the first partner to list a card, and it is available here. It is priced at just under €100, which is strange since you are able to find the same card for under €90, of course branded as an 8800 GS. As always, XFX has decided to bundle this card with Company of Heroes.
