In about four hours Nvidia will launch a refurbished G92 chip, or should we say a larger version of 8800GTS card. The new card supports Triple-SLI, has a bit higher clock than the previous G92 chips and the memory now works at 2200MHz. The GPU works at 675MHZ and we've seen this frequency with some overclocked 8800GTS. It also has 128 Shader units.
It will be a bit faster, it is as long as 8800 Ultra and has a massive cooler that reminds you of Darth Vader. Nvidia's Gestapo won't let anyone post anything until 15.00 Central European time or 14.00 GMT.
We won't be posting any reviews today, we would rather do it tomorrow simply due to the ridiculous launch date picked by Nvidia. Nothing serious should be launched on April 1. The second part of the reason is that Nvidia lets out the leash of its partners only a day or two before the launch and as sometimes we need the weekends for ourselves, we're human, too, you know. (At least some of us are, not sure about...)
