As Asus triple MXM HD 3850, branded Trinity, has raised a lot of eyebrows and questions. Our colleagues from Nordichardware managed to get exclusive benchmarks of this, let's just say interesting card. Asus' sTrinity scores 94,110 in 3DMark 03 with Intel QX9770 at 4600MHz and 24,909 in 3DMark06 with the same CPU.

As for the specs of these RV670 MXM modules, the core, or to be more precise "cores," work at 668MHz and it comes with 512MB of GDDR3 memory running at 1656MHz, of course for each MXM module. This all totals 1536MB of memory on a single card. According to the results, this card claims the throne of the highest single card score using an air cooled system. Of course, the Trinity was overclocked to 769/1053MHz, which was the maximum setting in the Catalyst Control Center.

According to the post over at Nordichardware, this card can go even higher and that overclock was limited by the lack of software tools and nothing else. We will surely see more of this card soon. You can find the original article here and the screenshots here.
