Larrabee as part of the graphic card

Mike Magee asked the question at Intel’s recent conference call as yours truly was not cherry picked by Intel and allowed to ask, and Mike asked if Intel sees Larrabee as the competition to Nvidia and ATI.

With a lot of hesitation Stephen L. Smith, Vice President Director, Digital Enterprise Group Operations, has said that Larrabee will compete with Nvidia and ATI on the graphic side.

Intel believes to have the competitive part to Nvidia’s and ATI GPU like architecture and we will have to wait until late 2008 to taste it and until 2009 to buy it.

We can say that this is the first time we saw that the chap is a Vice President and Director at the same time.
