Clocks much higher than expected

Hacks from TechConnect Magazine have managed to score a screenshot of the upcoming 9800 GX2. This is nothing new from the design side, as the card features the same reference design with a partner's sticker covering the half of the top cooler cover. The card's clocks are far higher than 600/1500/2000 MHz for the GPU/shaders/memory which were reported earlier.

Anyway, this card comes with 1GB of GDDR3 memory that works at 2400MHz. We doubt this figure, as it sounds a tad too high.

The GPU clock is far more interesting, as it states that the new card will work at 660MHz, which is 60MHz over the earlier reported clock. We still remember that this was the clock of some super overclocked 8800 Ultra, so this might be a simple copy paste job.

The Shaders on this card are clocked at 1650MHz, which is 150MHz over the reference value. So some partners might have an OC version in the works, but these are the clocks at which GX2 will actually work, and all will be revealed soon.

You can check out the screenshot here.
