First one with GDDR3 memory

HIS has
launched a passively cooled HD 3650 card, which goes under the name of the HIS HD 3650 iSilenceIII. This isn't the first passively cooled HD 3650 to launch, but this is the first one to use GDDR3 memory.

The card is cooled by Zalman's VNF102 passive cooling solution with two heatpipes and a large heatsink placed on the back of the card. This configuration might cause compatibility issues with some motheboards, because the Northbridge heatsinks are getting bigger and are located very close to the first PCIe 2.0 slot. The card works at 725MHz for the core and 700MHz (1.4GHz effectively) for the 512MB of GDDR3 memory. Of course, like every other HD 3650, this one is also using a cripped 128-bit memory interface.

It comes with support for DirectX 10.1, Shader Model 4.1 and PCI Express 2.0. A nice addition is the blue PCB and gold plated DVI connectors.
