Higher clocks, reference cooling

Zotac has announced yet another graphics card in its AMP! series, this time G92-based 8800 GTS with 512MB of GDDR3 memory. The card is factory overclocked with the GPU running at 678MHz, memory at 1944MHz and Shader clock bumped up to 1728MHz.

The new AMP! 8800GTS from Zotac uses the same reference dual slot cooling, which was enough to raise the GPU clock from reference 650MHz to 678MHz. The card comes with 512MB of GDDR3 memory, which is clocked at reference 1944MHz. The Shader clock is the one that got a stunning boost from reference 1625MHz to 1728MHz.

As the entire Geforce 8 series, this card also uses PCI Express 2.0 interface and supports DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0. Unlike the old G80-based 8800 GTS, which used odd 320-bit memory interface, this card based on G92 GPU has a 256-bit memory interface.
