Epic, Crytek and Alienware are in love

Nvidia has just introduced its Geforce 8800M GTX chip, and it claims that it will be enough to play Crysis, Unreal Tournament 3, and Call of Duty 4, but of course, it didn’t say at what settings and resolution. Let's hope for the best and hope that you will be able to set all on high at 1680x1080 or higher.

Mark Rein, VP of Epic Games, claims that you can play Unreal Tournament 3 at an HD resolution of 1920x1200. He even said that he will order one, but I am sure that Dan Vivoli will send him a freebie.

Cervat Yerli, CEO of Crytek, yet another company that got some serious boost from Nvidia, also talks about the chip with superlatives.

Alienware already jumped the gun about its Area-51 m17x and Area-51 m15x, seventeen and fifteen-inch notebook that will feature NVIDIA's GeForce 8800M GTX. You will be able to buy this G92 / D8NB based notebook graphics card from Alienware, Eurocom, Gateway, and Sager in North America; AIRIS, Chiligreen, Cizmo, Cybersystem, Ergo, Nexoc, Novatech, Plaisio, Rock, and XXODD in Europe; MouseComputer in Japan; and Pioneer Computers in Australia.

We don’t know how fast it is, but we will try to find out. We know it is a G92 based card so it should end up a bit slower than its 8800GTS based desktop brother. Still, it is enough to be the fastest thing for notebooks.
