US$179-239?

According to a story on Digitimes, AMD is going to further reduce the pricing of the upcoming Radeon HD 3850 and 3870 cards, and apparently, we're looking at pricing between US$179-239. This translates to €122.50-163.50, but the cards won't be this low priced in Europe, though, as we well know, as the exchange rate is never applied in this way.

Nonetheless, we're looking at some very affordable cards here and it seems that AMD is almost underselling itself. We're curious where the 2900 GT and 2900 Pro belong in this lineup, as both cards will end up being more expensive than the 38x0 cards and most likely not be competitive in terms of performance.

Time will tell how much these cards will actually cost, but it looks like we're seeing another price war, this time between AMD and Nvidia, rather than between AMD and Intel.
