Gigabyte is going to launch an in-house version of the GeForce 8800 GT and the card should hit retail shelves in Europe in about a month's time. The Gigabyte GV-NX88T512HP, as the card will be known, differs in several ways from the current reference design card; and, according to Gigabyte, it should be retailing for less than the current card.
The PCB has been slightly re-designed and its using the same quality PCB material as Gigabyte uses for its motherboards, and this is also where the blue color comes from.
Gigabyte has added a three-phase power regulation design, which should allow their cards to overlock better than the reference two-phase design and the card uses all solid capacitors.
The card also comes with a Zalman cooler and the 1ns Qimonda GDDR3 chips aparently don't need any additional cooling.
And here's a picture of the upcoming card.
