Low profile with passive cooling

Leadtek has announced the launch of the new addition to its 8500 GT lineup. Three words that are best used for describing the new WinFast® PX8500 GT TDH HDMI (Low Profile) are "simple, small and silent", call it the triple "S".

Card is based on Nvidia's Geforce 8500 GT GPU, based on 80nm technology that works at 450MHz. Card has 16 Stream Processors. This low profile solution is equipped with 256MB of GDDR2 memory clocked at 800MHz. Unlike the Geforce 8400GS which comes with "crippled" 64-bit memory interface, this card should benefit from the 8500GT's 128-bit memory interface.

The card is a low profile solution with integrated HDMI and it would surely look nice in any HTPC system. It uses the passive heatpipe cooling solution, so the noise won't be a problem. As the entire Geforce 8 series this card also supports DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0. As for the backplate, the new low profile card has Dual-link DVI-I, HDMI and SPDIF-in.
