A few sources have confirmed that Radeon
2600 AGP cards should come in late September. We were surprised to learn that
2400 PRO AGP are already available, but the faster iteration will be shipping in
very late Q3.
Nvidia still doesn’t plan to release the
AGP version of its G8X cards and it looks like it has left this market completely
to ATI. Radeon 2600 PRO with 256 MB memory in AGP flavour will certainly get a
lot of attention as it should be the most advanced and the fastest DirectX 10
AGP card around.
It will be ready for the high season and if
you want one just wait for a bit more than a month and you will be able to buy
it.
