Was not happy with DAAMIT

Just a month ago we had a chance to meet with Dave Orton in Taiwan and we didn't feel that the chap was happy with how things went with AMD. Today AMD officialy announced that Dave is leaving the company.

This is the second key figure to leave AMD after the acquisition as Rich Heye left almost instantly after the acquisition.Dave mentioned that he was for the acquisition after he meet with AMD in December 2005, but we can not say that he was a happy face less than a year after it happened.

Adrian Hartog, senior vice president and general manager, consumer electronics group and Rick Bergman senior vice president and general manager, graphics products group will now report directly to Hector himself.

Dave will leave AMD by the end of the month and we don’t have any idea what he will do in the future, but he will probably enjoy his life.
