AMD finally introduced ATI Radeon HD 2000

DAAMIT has finally today introduced the ATI Radeon HD 2000 series, a top-to-bottom line of ten discrete graphics processors for both desktop and mobile platforms. It is late, but better late then never.

A Features of the new DirectX 10 GPU's from ATI has been presented over the few past weeks, all over the net and our webpage.

ATI Radeon HD 2000 series desktop line-up comes with three different GPU's. The first one is available immediately, ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT at expected price of $/€399, including Team Fortress 2, Portal, and Half-Life 2: Episode Two from Valve. DAAMIT paperlaunched mid and entry level cards. ATI Radeon HD 2600 and 2400 are scheduled to ship in late June with pricing yet to be announced. These are 65nm parts, so they should look and perform good, lets just hope that ATI won't delay them even more. The 2600 XT should cost around €199 while the 2400 should be around €99.

DAAMIT announced three different mobile GPU's. High end is based on ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 series, mid range is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400, and value segment ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2300, all of them are DirectX 10 GPU's and come with ATI Avivo HD technology and UVD for outstanding HD DVD and Blu-ray disc playback. ATI PowerPlay 7.0 power management for long battery life and optimized performance-per-watt is also present.
