Sources have confirmed that the ultra hot Radeon HD 2900XT card will score about 10,600 on a Core 2 Duo X6800 CPU. If you have a quad core CPU you will be able to score 10,800 in 3Dmark06 at default settings.

This is a good score and, at least in this test the performance is comparable to the Geforce 8800 GTX. Unfortunately it is not that fast in games.

If you overclock the Core 2 Duo to 3.5 GHz or more, then you can even score 13,000 in 3Dmark06. So now you know, and these scores where produced using the 8.361 driver.
