Likely to make five million target by the end of the year

MSI has shipped two million graphics cards in the first half of 2016 and is likely to ship five million units in the whole year.

According to Digitimes, which interviewed its "industry sources", MSI's business has grown by 31.6 percent over the last year and made $47.2 million. Most of this is thanks to its Nvidia GPUs having more than 80 percent of the market. In May MSI unveiled a total of five different Geforce GTX 1080 graphics cards including a couple of rather interesting versions like the GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G with Twin Frozr VI cooler or the GTX 1080 Sea Hawk with Corsair's Hydro Series hybrid cooler.

However it has also seen a large growth in its gaming notebooks which boosted its brand image. MSI plans to sell 1.2 million gaming notebooks in 2016 which is an increase of a third on last year's numbers.

MSI's main rival is Asustek which is globally the largest motherboard and graphics card vendor, in Europe, Japan and Taiwan.
