For both the GTX 1070 and GTX 1060

It is obvious that Nvidia is preparing the launch of its new GTX 10 Mobile series GPUs, including two new graphics cards for notebook, the Geforce GTX 1070 and the Geforce GTX 1060.

According to the leaked pictures, with details and performance figures coming from various sources, the mobile version of the Geforce GTX 1070 will actually have 2048 CUDA cores, which is higher than on the desktop version.

With lower clocks but higher CUDA core numbers, the mobile GTX 1070 could end up with the same performance as the desktop version and it still comes with 8GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 8.0GHz and paired up with a 256-bit memory interface.

The GPU is packed on a standard MXM form-factor and has a 4+2-phase design and it even needs additional power, which suggests that it draws more than 100W. We wrote about the Mobile Geforce GTX 1070 performance earlier.

On the other hand, the GTX 1060 has the same specifications as the desktop version, packing 1280 CUDA cores but will also have lower clocks, suggesting a lower performance as well. The early performance figures put it between the GTX 980M and the desktop GTX 970, which is still an impressive result for mobile GPU.

There will be plenty of notebooks with mobile GTX 1070 and GTX 1060 GPUs from usual suspects and if you look closely, there are already a few listed online.

Some sources suggest that Nvidia might launch its new mobile Pascal GPUs at Gamescom 2016, which officially starts on August 16th, which also means that we will see plenty of those notebooks on the show floor.
