Will depend on demand

According to our sources, the new Radeon HD 7970 will be in healthy supply and partners are confident that there will be a great deal of cards in retail/e-tail once it hits stores on 9th of January.

Of course, the entire supply and availability picture will depend on the actual demand but partners are saying that there should be plenty of cards in retail/e-tail. The situation on the market will also depend on actual allocation plan and which markets will have more or less cards, but unfortunately we couldn't get any info regarding it.

There are still no details regarding the official pricing for Europe, and some early listings are pointing at prices well above €600 with VAT, but we expect it to be available at around €500 once it hits all other shops on January 9th.

For now it the things are looking good for AMD and we are quite sure that there will quite a bit of demand for these cards. The US $549.99 price tag it won't directly influence the availability and there should be a decent amount of cards ready to be bought on January 9th 2012.
