Nvidia representatives have been claiming success in securing Sandy Bridge design wins for months and the company has finally revealed some numbers.

The green team has managed to score more than 200 design wins for Geforce chips in upcoming Sandy Bridge notebooks. The new notebooks should appear in the first half of 2011 and we suspect most of them will feature Optimus switchable graphics, which was Nvidia's main selling point to begin with.

Nvidia claims the list of OEMs who have chosen to include Geforce chips in their new notebooks includes major players such as Acer, Alienware, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, Sony, Toshiba and even Fujitsu-Siemens, despite the fact that the Fujitsu-Siemens joint venture was dissolved more than two years ago. Somebody should probably break the news to Nvidia.
