127W TDP

We already wrote about AMD's upcoming Barts XT based, HD 6870 card, and it is time to shed some light on it slower brother, the Barts Pro based, HD 6850. This one works at 775MHz and has 960 stream processors.

The precise details regarding the Barts GPU are still blurry but we do know that AMD markets this one against the GTX 460 768MB card. The GPU works at 775MHz and the card comes with 1GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 4000MHz and paired up with a 256-bit memory interface. According to the specs that we managed to score, the card has 960 Stream Processors, 12 SIMDs, 32 ROPs and it gives 1.5 TFLOPS of compute power.

The maximum TDP is set at 127W and it uses 19W at idle, so it is left with a single 6-pin power connector. It comes with the same diplay output configuration as the HD 6870 so you will see two DVI, two mini DisplayPort and one HDMI output.
