Cebit 2009: HDMI, non-reference PCB and cooler

Gainward has also shown off its own non-reference GTS 250 card, which, unlike the reference design, features an HDMI out on top of DVI and VGA outs. Neither the PCB or the cooler are reference designs.

Gainward opted for a large dual slot cooler with a sizable fan, which we're told is very quiet. The GTS 250 takes on ATI's HD 4850, and it will be available in 512MB and 1024MB version.

The GPU is clocked at 745MHz, slightly over reference, while memory stayed at reference clocks (1100/2200MHz). Gainward's GTS 250 should cost around €130.

We will put this card through its paces soon, so stay tuned.
