Nvidia’s CUDA and PhysX won’t run on Geforce 7 or slower cards and this will be a perfect opportunity for Nvidia to convince the end users to upgrade its Geforce 7 or older graphic cards.
CUDA needs Shaders and Geforce 8 is the minimum you’ll need, but you will be fine with Geforce 9 or any other chip to come.
CUDA might change the computer world, but we are still not convinced that it actually works the way Nvidia wants us to believe. We are sure that it can run PhysX really well, as Nvidia has already demonstrated some cool stuff related to it. Stay tuned, as we’ve just switched continents and are back in Euroland.
