Slightly overclocked Toxic series

Sapphire has announced yet another member of its Toxic HD 5800 series, the HD 5850 with 2GB of memory. Like all cards in the series, this card also features a dual-slot Vapor-X cooler and has a slight factory overclock.

In addition to more memory, the new Sapphire HD 5850 Toxic still features 1440 stream processors and has a slight factory overclock with a 765MHz GPU clock. It features 2GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 4500MHz. Note that the reference card ticks at 725MHz and 4000MHz. The Vapor-X cooler has a center placed fan and should be quieter and more efficient than the one found on the reference card.

The new HD 5850 Toxic 2GB has support for DirectX 11, has a 256-bit memory interface and feature two dual-DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.

The new card should be available sometime next week, with a price that should be somewhere around €300, while the 1GB version is currently listed at around €270 to €280.
