Larrabee spirit to last beyond 09 / 2010

We have some additional good news for Larrabee fans (All three of them.sub.ed.). If you are one of them you will be happy to hear that Intel plans to continue investment in graphics and according to an Intel spokesperson “We (Intel) expect to invest at or above 2009 level in 2010”.

We could not get any exact number on Intel's actual investment in Larrabee and the sad part was that Intel always told the press what it wanted and never answered most of the important questions about the project.

The Larrabee we know is now gone and Intel only promises to give us a new update in 2010 as they will continue to play with graphics but behind closed doors.

Nvidia and ATI will continue to develop its GPUs for years to come and we believe that in a few years Intel can become a major player in computer graphics market. Nvidia benefits from this as its CUDA and GPU Compute will been predominantly developed for Nvidia for a year or two, at least until Larrabee 4 comes out.
