Partners might change it

We managed to confirm that the alleged picture of the HD 5670 which showed up yesterday is indeed legit, but according to our sources close to ATI, the reference card features a single slot cooler.

ATI's AIB partners might change the cooler and go for its own designs but that is yet to be confirmed. The card features 400 stream processors and comes with 1GB of GDDR5 memory paired with a 128-bit memory interface. The rumoured clocks are 775MHz for the core and 4000MHz for that 1GB of GDDR5 memory.

It has a single slot backplate with D-Sub, DVI and HDMI outputs and the reference design features a single slot cooler which should be enough to keep the temps of this 40nm Redwood chip at bay.

The new Redwood and Cedar 40nm GPUs are scheduled for Q1 2010.
