Full support for HD 5800 series

AMD has released a new monthly revision of its Catalyst drivers, version 9.10. The new driver supports Radeon HD 2000, 3000, 4000 as well as the new HD 5800 series cards and is the first official ATI Catalyst WHQL release that supports this new series of GPUs.

In addition to being a first official WHQL certified release for HD 5800 series GPUs, the new driver brings support for "super sample anti-aliasing". This feature should enable high image quality while maintaining good performance levels.

The resolved issues list is quite long, but some that caught our eye is the flickering fix for triple and quad crossfire on specific HDMI displays under Windows Vista, fix for Ghostbusters video game on 2560x1600 resolution, 8x anti-aliasing and under Windows 7, underscan/overscan options for TV that can now be applied from ATI CCC and its TV properties adjustment page, and bunch more which you can find inside release notes here.

You can download the new driver here.
