Nvidia has recently released its third SLI Profile Update in
an attempt to give multi-GPU enthusiast users more support for the latest
SLI-enabled titles. This is the company’s official way of ensuring its best-invested
customers that it really does care for them, even though its supply partner
EVGA usually fills this gap with its own bi-monthly
SLI Enhancement Patch.
To be specific, the patch is basically just an updated
NvApps.xml file that adds new hex values to support SLI in the latest PC titles. This
third release is recommended for use with Geforce 191.07 WHQL drivers and works
with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
The update adds SLI support for Borderlands, Cloudy With a
Chance of Meatballs, G-Force, FIFA Soccer 2010, League of Legends: Clash of
Fates, NHL 2009, Order of War, Pro Evolution Soccer 2010, Race On, and Star
Trek: D-A-C. In addition, it somehow increases SLI performance in Champions
Online and Dragon-Age: Origins.
