Slightly slower than the HD 4890, GTX 260

According to some early benches, AMD's upcoming HD 5770 will end up somewhat slower than the RV770-based HD 4890 and Nvidia's GTX 260.

It's worth noting that we are talking about synthetic benchmarks, not game tests. The HD 5770 scores P8714 in 3Dmark Vantage, while the HD 4890 and GTX 260 manage P10327 and P9376 respectively.

Price wise, the GTX 260 is the cheapest card in the comparison, as it is available for as little as €125 in European markets. Radeon HD 4890 prices start at €139, but the new HD 5770 is currently listed at as low as €131.

Although it is slightly slower than the HD 4890 and GTX 260, the HD 5770 is obviously a better choice.
