AGP interface and 1GB of memory

Apparently, AGP still has a large part of the market and it's no wonder that, in addition to Gigabyte, Powercolor, ASUS, Sapphire and HIS, the guys from XFX decided to launch a similar card.

Although we would be more interested in an HD 4670 with DDR3 memory, XFX has decided to introduce the HD 4650 card with 1GB of DDR2 memory. This one will probably sell much better than the HD 4670 due to its price and the fact that high performance cards are usually overkill when paired up with the old AGP bus.

The card works at 600MHz for the core, has 320 stream processors, and as previously noted, has 1GB of DDR2 memory clocked at 1000MHz. The cooler is quite plain with a small fan, but a good side of this is that the card still takes up a single slot. It's important to note that due to the fact that AGP port can't supply enough juice to this card it has an extra 4-pin molex connector for additional power.

The card should pop up in retail pretty soon and we guess that it should sell at around €70.
