X25949 in 3DMark Vantage and rising

Swedish overclocker and ASUS Marketing Specialist who goes by Kinc on the XtremeSystems Forums has recently taken a couple of the uber powerful ASUS Mars Limited Edition cards with dual-GTX 285s out for a benchmark spin and an initial overclocking run. The results are very impressive to say the least.

Using a Core i7 Extreme 975 ES processor at 5100MHz on liquid nitrogen, an ASUS Rampage II Extreme and two ASUS Mars graphics cards on liquid nitrogen at 833MHz/1861MHz/2558MHz, Kinc was able to achieve a score of X24959 in 3DMark Vantage using Windows Vista 32-bit.  His one-liner statement reads, “The graphics cards are far from maxed out :)” which implies that these bad boys are far from showing their true potential in the benchmark scene. Keep in mind that the stock clocks on these cards are a 648MHz core, 1476MHz shaders and 2000MHz memory.

Kinc also ran the setup through 3DMark 2003 and discovered an impressive score of 164242. As stated, these cards have yet to really show their maximum potential, and we can see why ASUS has decided to release these GPUs as Limited Edition hardware.
