Newegg does offers $99 price after rebate

According to the listing, Newegg has four different 40nm ATI HD 4770 cards with a $109 price tag. To be precise, Newegg has card from four different partners, as all HD 4770 that are on the market are basically the same as ATI doesn't want partners to overclock the cards or to do their own design, at least not yet.

According to the press release from AMD, the HD 4770 was never planned as a real $99 card, but rather as a $109 card that should sell for "as low as" $99 with a limited time $10 AIB Mail in Rebate. So, the US $99 card is a US $99 card only if you buy it at certain e-tailer/retailer and from certain AIB partner that will do a mail-in-rebate action. Unfortunately, not all partners are doing this mail in rebate so Gigabyte's card really costs $109 at Newegg.com

Even with a $109 price tag this card is still good, and there is no difference between the cards from different partners, at least not until partners get the green light from AMD to show their own in-house designs.

You can check out the Newegg.com listing here.
