We heard that Nvidia is working on many 40nm projects but so far, we haven’t heard that any of them got close to publication.

Partner are told that the new 40nm thing is coming and we expect that the first chip is entry level, but at this point, partners are told that G94 and G96 chips are the ones that Nvidia has in the lower segment.

This segment covers cards that are selling from €35 to €70 and includes Geforce 9400GT, 9500GT and 9600GT. We have to admit that so far both 9500 and 9600 were quite successful, but their time will pass as soon as ATI's RV740 hits the market.

Nvidia was traditionally slower than ATI in transitioning to a new process and ATI already has RV740 40nm mobile edition available while desktop chip should be out by week 20, which is the second week of May.
