With DDR3 memory

Albatron has officially launched its PCI Express x1 card based on Nvidia's Geforce 9500GT GPU. The card has surprised us with the use of DDR3 memory and it might appeal to those that own an mini-ITX motherboard that only have a PCIe x1 slot.

The card works at 550MHz for the core, has 32 processing cores with a shader clock set at 1,375MHz. The card comes with 256MB of DDR3 memory clocked at 1,400MHz and paired up with a 128-bit memory interface. It is based on a low profile PCB, and it is cooled by a combination of a heatsink and small fan.

The card really has a decent market as it can be used as a second display card for multi-display scenarios, or as noted it can be a great choice for upgrade for those mini-ITX motherboards that don't have a PCI-Express x16 slot. As every other 9500GT on the market, this one also has a 2nd generation Pure Video HD technology so 720p and 1080p reproduction shouldn't be a problem.

It comes with an HDMI adapter and features D-Sub, TV-out and DVI outputs. Unfortunately, the price or the availability date haven't been announced.
