At €499 it's cheaper than the competition

Zotac has officially announced its water cooled GTX 285 Infinity Edition which we had a chance to see earlier today and now we have official specifications for this card.

The card works 722MHz for the core which beats EVGA's GTX 285 HydroCopper by a mere 2MHz. It will come with 1GB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 2.7GHz, while shaders ended up clocked at 1,584MHz. The memory and shader clock is much lower thanon EVGA's GTX 285 HydroCopper which works at 2.77GHz for memory and 1,620MHz for shaders.

The guys from Zotac have assured us that this card will be widely available and that this one isn't just a marketing product with few PR samples. They also justify those lower clocks by going with a lower €499 price, while the EVGA's card is currently listed with a lowest price set at €525,43.

Zotac's GTX 285 Infinity Edition card should be available after CeBIT so you can expect it in stores in the first half of March.
