Gaming 9400 GT?

XFX is preparing to announce a new card that will carry the Fatal1ty brand, but unfortunately this time it won't be a high-end gaming card but rather a modest Geforce 9400 GT.

The card features a low profile PCB and comes with 512MB of DDR2 memory paired up with a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU works at 550MHz while the memory remains at standard 800MHz. The card features 16 stream processors that should be clocked at 1400MHz.

The new Fatal1ty branded XFX 9400 GT will have D-Sub, DVI and TV-out outputs, DirectX 10 and PhysX support. Fatal1ty brand usually goes well with high-end and performance cards but the brand will sure help selling more 9400GT cards.

All in all, we would rather see a special XFX HD 4870 with a Fatal1ty logo rather then low profile 9400 GT. Those of you that would rather go for a low profile cards for your HTPC, and want a Fatal1ty branded card inside, this might be the thing for you. The card should be announced soon, and we hope that it will be priced like all other 9400 GT cards.
