Calls it MAXCORE

BFG is the third Nvidia AIB partner that has decided to launch its new GTX 260 cards, the ones that come with 216 Stream processors. BFG has released a total of three cards, all with factory overclock.

Unlike other AIB partners, BFG has decided to brand their new GTX 260 with the MAXCORE name. First in line is the GTX 260 OC MAXCORE that works at 590MHz for the core, has 896MB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 1,998MHz and its Shader clock is set at 1,296MHz. Next up is the  GTX 260 OC2 MAXCORE and this one works at 630MHz for the core, has the same 896MB of GDDR3 memory which is now clocked at 2,126MHz and Shader clock is set to 1,350MHz.

The third and last one, the GTX 260 OCX MAXCORE, is also the one with the highest factory overclock. This card works at 655MHz for the core, while the memory ends up clocked at 2,250MHz and the Shader is clocked to 1,404MHz this time.

The interesting thing is that these three cards have the same specifications and clocks as the older GTX 260 cards that BFG has launched, of course, except for the amount of Stream processors. The reference card works at 576MHz for the core, 1,998MHz for the memory and 1,242MHz for the Shaders.

Here is a picture of the GTX 260 OCX MAXCORE card, but unfortunately there is nothing special to see as it looks identical to the older GTX 260, unless you count the box design and the sticker.
